Ready to Carry On?
Welcome to the official web headquarters for the Carry On Campaign.
Inspired by the Concert For Life in Gurnee, IL, the Carry On Campaign is designed to give every person a chance to do his or her small part to help raise money for the American Cancer Society.
The challenge is simple: Raise $100 for the ACS.
How? However. Build a lemonade stand. Sell homemade jewelry. Put out a coin jar at work. Send an e-mail to friends asking them to support your effort.
Whatever.
The only rule (and we mean this!) is that the money can’t come from you directly.
Why?
Because we want this to be as much about creating awareness for the fight against cancer as it is about fundraising. If you’re thinking about volunteering, then supporting the ACS already means something to you. We want you to inspire someone else to want to join the cause.
Over $4,750 was raised by 18 volunteers in 2009-10 and 21 volunteers raised a mind-boggling $9,774 in 2010-11. These pioneers showed amazing creativity and passion, and they continue to challenge us to do even more.
So are you up to the challenge? If so, just send us your name and e-mail address. That’s it! Once you sign up, you’ll start receiving e-mail updates from the Carry On Campaign team.
Thanks for making the fight against cancer part of your daily life. You rock!
